The History of Fluance

Fluance is a Canadian based speaker company that produces home theater systems. Established in 1997 and based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, it markets to both the U.S. and Canada.

The name Fluance was chosen to demarcate the quality of sound its speakers produce. The prefix "Flu" is Latin for "flowing" or "wave," while the suffix "ance" is Latin for "a state of being." These words come together to create a meaning that the company feels accurately describes its products.

Fluance researchers and engineers develop, manufacture, and sell audio equipment including pillar speakers, bookshelf speakers, bipolar speakers, subwoofers, floorstanding loudspeakers, various surround sound components, and complete surround sound home theater systems.

Braced Internally: vertically and horizontally to ensure that the acoustic image remains free from cabinet vibrations and driver resonances.

Butyl Rubber Surrounds: for increased durability and performance.

Crossovers: Premium components with advanced transducers for consistent high-end sound quality. PCB mounted circuitry featuring Butterworth design for audio equalization. Our crossover arrays ensure crystal clear tweeter response, warm and rich mids, exceptionally well controlled low frequencies and improve imaging focus, and depth.

Dual Bi-ampable Bi-wireable 5-way Gold Plated Binding Post: Inputs for the most secure wire connections and the most versatile wiring applications. Optimum conductivity. This is for your benefit and can be used to enhance the performance of your system. Fluance's multi-connection gold-plated binding posts make connections easy and secure.

Floor Spikes: For use on hardwood or carpeted floors to isolate the vibrations between the speaker and the ground. By rigidly coupling a loudspeaker enclosure to a floor by means of a "spiking" system, it is possible to dramatically improve clarity, stereo imaging and bass response. This is very apparent with subwoofer systems.

Grills: Low diffraction for spacious imaging. Flush fit and removable.

Magnetically Shielded: To avoid interference with other audio/video electronics. Allows for safe placement near video monitors.
