Every claim about these speakers fulfills the manufacturer's claim! I was looking for a better background sound: I used the Fluance Signature Series Two-way speakers to replace a couple really old Pioneer 6-Ohm speakers of the background / surround on a simple 5.1 sound system, and the results were very pronounced in a good way. The voices, the highs and in general the musical accents are all enhanced and up-to-snuff. [On the front stereo end are some old German-made Magnat columns, in the middle is a Yamaha two-way center, and there is a Yamaha woofer on the floor under the piano. These are driven by a Sony 1040 receiver / amp.]
The Fluance speakers are well-made; I believe the finish is a thick laminate, but are seamless at the corners, which is excellent quality. The sound remains outstanding, and has really enhanced our sound system. -Verified Store
