Product Review (submitted on December 23, 2016):

I would like to start by stating that I have been into sound systems for as long as I can remember, and have always tinkered with and designed high quality systems for home and audio. I know as technology changes the quality of sound will slightly improve and in some instances there may not be a distinguishable difference in the overall quality from one well designed piece to another.I wasn't in the market for any new system components, but decided to upgrade a few items anyway. I purchased a Pioneer Elite receiver to replace a Sony ES one and these Fluance surrounds to replace some surround speakers that I had up. I have owned several speakers from manufacturers such as Pioneer, Sony, JBL, Klipsch, Polk, RCA, Sapphire, Bowers and Wilkins, Cerwin Vega, JAMO, Diamond Audio, Boston Acoustics, Bose, Martin Logan and various others. They were all at their time high quality and well designed. I've even DJ'd in the past and that also made me audition many different speakers over the years.Onto the Fluance bipolar surrounds. I wanted something very well made and nice looking as well as natural sounding. I wasn't so much concerned with price, but from what the specifications showed, customer reviews, images and the manufacturer's warranty information provided I figured there was nothing to lose on my end. Let's just say that after opening the solid packaging and removing the speakers they look great. A lot of heft and feel of solidity will reassure you that your money was well spent. Now looking nice isn't the main reason for purchasing speakers, it's the sound stage that means the most. I was 100% satisfied after immediate hook up and even more so after the break in period. I have listened to some of my DVD Audios and SACDs that I still own along with CD quality music( especially since it's Christmas time.) I watch movies consistently, so they had to double for home theater use as well. I give them glowing reviews for both. They sound just as nice as any speaker that is currently available, priced similarly or not. One of my personal preferences is that I prefer silk dome tweeters in home to metal tweeters for a more warm sound. These provide that for me, others my prefer metal tweeters and that is perfectly fine. The woven mid-bass drivers sound as nice as they are beautiful to look at.I am most likely going to switch everything over to the Fluance Signature series, as I am that impressed and the lifetime warranty is offered by no other company as far as I currently am aware. I know there are speakers out there that cost much much more and sometimes that exudes superiority in some fashion, but not always and this is one of those cases. Companies charge what they can get customers to pay for and that will always be the case, but I think the price may go up considering the quality, craftsmanship and sound imaging these speakers afford. Audition them in your home as there is a 30 day guarantee and see if you are impressed. One final note. Reviews such as the one done on CNet, never suggested that they allowed the speakers to reach the break in point. Even car speakers require a break in point for maximum performance as the components need to move and align. I hope you enjoyed the review and that you enjoy whatever system, speakers and music you love. - Verified Store
