Product Review (submitted on August 21, 2017):

I have had this turntable for several weeks now, and have put at least 20 hours of play on it. I have had none of the speed issues that other people have written about. It has tracked perfectly and the playback has been spot-on from the first time stylus met vinyl. The turntable is packaged extremely well, impressively well I would say. The assembly and calibration is easy and actually fun to do. The turntable itself is gorgeous. The furniture-grade finish is flawless, and the overall quality is very high-end. One of the reasons I chose this turntable was that it is easily upgraded in terms of cartridge, but after this initial period of play I can't justify it. It sounds fantastic as-is.The only thing I have had issue with, and it's not a big enough deal to subtract an entire star (maybe a quarter star) is that the auto-stop doesn't seem to be very consistent. This may be due to how each album is pressed, but I would say that more times than not the stylus will be bouncing off of the label. I have not contacted Fluance support to see if the stopping point can be adjusted, so it might just be a matter of making a little tweak under the platter. The auto-stop is a nice feature, but it was not a real tipping point that influenced the purchase. The only other turntable I was considering was the Denon DP300-F, which is now priced lower than the Fluance. I have heard horror stories about that table, but also know people who have zero issues, and my previous, very low-end DP29-F operated flawlessly. I did check out the 300 in person and the Fluance has a much more hand-crafted, retro look to it. It reminds me of the high-end units the stereo salesmen used to chase me away from when I was a kid. - Verified Store
