A brilliant upgrade. 0 people found this helpfulThis is on of those rare purchases that made a very noticable difference in upgrading my Fluance RT83. I have a Rega 2 ( Original) with heavy glass platter.The Fluance always lacked that extra sparkle until this purchase.Same cartridges( Nagaoka mp11's). Now the Fluance has the 'edge'.Worth every penny.Karl O'Neill.

Suprising 0 people found this helpfulI have to admit i was really skeptical about the reviews talking about sound improvement when using this platter but to my suprise it really does improve the soundstage of my Fluance by quite a bit. It also looks stylish and clean. I really dont regret my purchase.

Acrylic Platter 1 people found this helpfulCommunication with Fluance was very smooth from beginning to end. I first ordered the platter over the phone and the customer service rep was very friendly and informative. The platter arrived with a chip and was packaged poorly. The return process/paperwork took a few days but the replacement platter arrived within a week and works / looks wonderful. I have upgraded my R-82 turntable to a R-85 with a Ortofon Blue cartridge and the acrylic platter; the sonic improvements are well worth the investment.

Excellent Upgrade to my RT83 1 people found this helpfulI have read how bad customer support is at Fluance and I have to say that was not my experience. I purchased the Acrylic Platter for my RT83. When it arrived, there was a chip in the platter. I called customer support and after asking a few questions and sending in some pictures I had an RMA and sent it back. A couple weeks later the new one arrived and was in perfect condition. I installed the new platter, and it upgraded my sound a great deal. It is an excellent upgrade for the RT83. It looks cool, sounds great, and I'm happy with the product and customer services quick response to my issue. I recommend this upgrade if you're looking to improve the sound of your turntable without going broke. Yes, upgrading the stylus helps the sound as well.

Frosted acrylic platter 0 people found this helpfulThis platter is very well made and a great addition. I noticed a more consistent motor speed due to the heavier weight. Especially at 45-rpm.
