Sleek and Sexy — I am in love! 1 people found this helpful
    Overall Performance

My brother, an audiophile, recommended I look at Fluance for high-quality audio. He was right. I love the sound from these floorstanding speakers--whether it is streaming music or creating a theatre-style TV watching experience. They are solid. The cabinet is sleek, sexy, chiseled, black ash--stylish for my decor given they are a presence in your living space. Ordering them online was a breeze. Delivery was quick. Setting them up and connecting them to the receiver was easy, though a bit of braun is helpful when unpacking these babies safely. These speakers give me the range of sound I was seeking with the highs, lows, and power I want. I am confident they will adapt to any space I inhabit and audio they produce will bring me pleasure for many years to come. Thank you Fluance for these amazing speakers. I am in love.

To The Point: The Fluance Signature HiFi 3-Way Tower Speakers are Fantastic, even when using old videos or cd’s on old equipment. These speakers will give you goose bumps. Of course, I could have spent more on more expensive speakers, but my room size is average and my average ears might not tell the difference. So, if you too are average, buy them without worry or reservation, they have above average sound. The “test” equipment:Yamaha TSR-7850 Receiver with new Fluance Signature HiFi 2-Way Center Channel Speaker and 5.1 with 5 year old Fluance Elite Bi-pole rear surrounds and 10 year old Polk Audio PSW-505 Sub-Woofer. Old Sony Blu-Ray BDP S790 and old Pioneer CLD M90 “Laser Disc” player and LG 65” OLED display. No measurements of anything were taken, no meters or equipment to make a graph. I actually listened to them. The Performance:Bluray Video disc: Celine Dion Live in Las Vegas “A New Day”. 5.1 surround selected. Like being there, and I was.DVD Video disc: Andrea Bocelli “Under the Desert Sky” 5.1 surround selected. The duet with Heather Headly was Stunning.CD disc: Santana “Shaman” Using Bluray player. 2.0 Stereo, Signature Floor Speakers only; provided a complete work out from Rock to Rap to Opera. Clear and wonderful sound while playing soft to very loud, no sub-woofer needed.CD disc: Chris Botti “Italia”. Using Sony Bluray player. Clear as a bell trumpet and guest vocals made me Smile.CD disc: Keiko Matsui “Dreamwalk”. Using old CLD M90 disc player and 5.1 on the YPAO adjusted Yamaha TSR-7850 filled the room with crystal clear piano.CD disc: Multiple Artist “Higher Octave 2” Nighttime. Using old CLD M90 2.0 Stereo. This old disc provided the most Guitar fun listening to the Fluance Signature speakers.Streaming You Tube: Cuba! Simply Red Live. While Holding Back the Years, the Fluance Signature floor standing performed well in 2.0 Stereo and the bass really came through without the sub-woofer. In 5.1 Surround of course it filled the room better, I Hope you Comprehend.Shipping of the Speakers: Ordered through Amazon and received in about 5 days. Fluance did their very best to protect the speakers with super foam padding and double boxing and the speakers arrived in perfect condition, although UPS did their very best to destroy them. Both boxes were damaged on all 6 sides with punctures and tears deep into both boxes in places. Reluctantly I signed for them at my door and took photos while UPS still present, the delivery person had nothing to say, the boxes looked battle worn. Some might think that the severe damage to the 70-pound boxes was intentional? At $400 each including shipping the Fluance Signature floor speakers define listening VALUE. The Fluance replaced a pair of old Pioneer HPM-100 speakers purchased new in 1977 that are still performing very well and of course the upgrade in sound quality is very significant. The build quality and detail is impressive and the Fluance look much more expensive than they are. I had previously encountered Fluance when I purchased their Elite bi-pole surrounds for $50 each a few years ago and have the Signature bi-poles on order at $75 each shipped. Unbelievable pricing and stunning quality. While seeking information on the Fluance Signature floor speakers, I read and viewed on line a few negative reviews, with opinion and little evidence, some reviewers seemed angry at the speakers; is FDS real? After owning them I can only conclude the Fluance speakers have wonderful sound, even compared to many other speakers I have encountered..over a very long time and I am not making money on You Tube videos. I’ll update my review in 45 years and let you know if the Fluance lasted as long as the HPM-100. Meanwhile, I have a few hundred cd’s to re-listen to and movies to watch. Sounds good to me.Old Music LoverLitle Canada, MN

Bought these last year to upgrade from bookshelf speakers. Glt both the signature series towers and center channel. Bass response is nice. Could easily run without a subwoofer. Havent had any issues with performance or part breakdowns. Product came out of the box without defect.
