Fluance was right on when they described these speakers as High performance loud speakers. I ordered the xl7f dark walnut which basically looks espresso. I power these speakers with Yamaha Rx-v377 receiver in a 12'x14' room with a polk audio 12" psw505 sub and with surround speakers. I was skeptical as anyone would be ordering speakers you cant listen too before you buy them and i am anything but disapointed. Once you get pass the break in time which Fluance stated 10 hours of normal listening the speakers really come to life. They sound great with all kinds of music and definitely movies.
