I bought these speakers + center speaker three weeks ago via amazon to complement my in-ceiling speakers setup mainly for a better music experience.The build quality and looks of these speakers are fantastic. Nothing looks cheap. I am surprised how they can pull this one of at such a low price. Without the screen they just look beautiful and fit in every living room.After listening to the speakers for three weeks now, the sound is decent but not great. I am mainly listening to classical music, some folk and pop, sometimes electronic. The speakers are pleasing to the ear. There is the hint of a stage and with some better recordings you can position instruments and voices. All in all, its a pleasure to listen to these speakers and I enjoy the music they play quite a bit. I do not have any bass problems as expressed by some reviewers (but this might be in part due to my Yamaha receiver, which is rather known for the treble/mid focus instead of bass).Given the rave reviews by many others I was nonetheless a little bit disappointed. These speakers may sound excellent for a pair of $500 speakers. But they do not sound like speakers well above this level. In comparison to my main speaker (B&W CM series) a lot is left to be desired. While listening to music with the latter I am regularly excited how wonderful some pieces of classical music sound. With the fluance, you don't get that.All in all, a set of beautiful looking speakers with good but not great sound. -Verified purchase from Fluance trusted store.
