Product Review (submitted on May 22, 2017):

Updated and rewrote review Oct. 2017. It’s still all love. Audie. Audiophiles call these budget speakers, They were a major purchase for me. No regrets, none at all. There is a 30 day FREE return window and a LIFETIME warranty on these speakers through Fluance. They’re very well built, I doubt I’ll have to use it.Design: This is what got me to buy this speaker. Each speaker has two separate chambers. The lower section of the speaker is a rear ported chamber with a down firing woofer, the top sealed chamber has two mid ranges and a silk dome tweeter. They are tall, narrow, deep, and heavy. Might not be good in homes with toddlers or rowdy people. Though the floor spikes do a good job of anchoring each speaker to my carpeted floor. Honestly they do sit pretty solid. I used 12 awg wire (overkill, but cheap on sale), and banana plugs for connectors (recommended). I had to expand the plugs on the banana plugs so they fit tightly into the speakers.Appearance: The front piano black finish is mirror like and the mahogany wrap on the body looks great. You won’t mistake them for real wood veneer, but the quality is evident. They certainly aren’t inconspicuous, they really stand out. These speakers look sweet in my home. Wife approved, the sound clinched it.Sound: I’d describe the sound as warm, with a slight empasis on the mid bass. The down firing woofer makes for a large sound stage. Bass is clean, tuned for my taste (“ classic rock” ). The silk dome tweeter and the dual 6” mids blend well. They have a unique sound. On Ted Nugents riffs, I could hear the notes moving up and down the speaker. Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, Adele Sound incredible.Watching movies, the dialogue and midrange are clear and crisp and the woofers can shake things. They have an awesome soundstage. I have mine in corners about 18” from the walls pointing towards our easy chairs. These are sensitive to placement. Putting them in corners as compared to in front of a wall, changes the sound dramaticly. Corner placement reflects more bass into the room. Give yourself options on where to put them. Your taste may vary from mine..Other Thoughts:Ain’t no good video reviews on these speakers. The written review by Audioholics is very thorough and finally convinced me to buy them. I’ve also read every review on amazon and several pro reviews before purchasing these. I’m running these as stereo speakers biamped through a Sony STRDH770 7.2 receiver. I own a doublewide mobile home with an open floor plan and these speakers fill the house with sound. Apartment or city dwellers might have issues as these can put out some volume. Thank god I’m a country boy :<) - Verified Store
