If I could give them a more accurate rating I would say 4.5, but i rounded up. The tower speakers are really great. They pack a punch while having clear mids and highs. The towers can stand on their own as a stereo system. The center channel does its job well for vocals. The bookshelf speakers are good only as surrounds, in my opinion, unless you pair them with a subwoofer. The bookshelf speakers do not have a low end, only mid to high. The subwoofer on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. They are punchy from the mid 30hz and up, but really roll of anything below the mid 30Hz. They are ok for music but not good for movies. I wish they would have put more into the design of the subwoofer. I think it as more to do with the design of the enclosure. However, they were free with my 5.0 purchase as part of a promo. Fluance, as a company, has one of the best costumer supports I have experienced. You cant go wrong with fluance.
