I recently purchased an RT83 to replace a really old Thorens that had fallen into disrepair. The turntable arrived quickly, was a breeze to set up, and works superbly. Looks great, too. I confess, I would have gone for the 84 to get the acrylic platter but it was unavailable at the time of purchase and I was unwilling to wait. That said, I am thrilled with the performance of the RT 83 and recommend it highly.
