The RT83 is a great TT. The build and quality is the best there is at this price point. The RT84 & 85 were out of stock so I decided on the RT83. I am waiting for the acrylic platter to be sold separately so I can upgrade. I upgraded to the Ortofon blue and it was a big upgrade over the red. The blue is an incredibly precise cartridge, maybe even a little too precise, almost CD like quality. I have since upgraded to the Nagaoka MP-150 which is very precise as well with the perfect amount of warmth.. The only reason for 4 stars is because when I contacted Fluance for the correct overhang and they told me to contact Nagaoka. This measurement should certainly come from the manufacturer of the TT and not the cartridge. Still waiting to hear back from them.
