The RT85 has been a great dive from amateur turntables, like my AT-LP60X, into the world of hobbyist and beginner audiophile with the amazing features that allow this to fight above its price. The Ortofon 2M Blue is very warm and a great deal as an initial upgrade and still worthwhile later. I love the look, feel, and practicality of the Avril luv turntable as it reduces some vibrations. I also like the three adjustable rubber cone feet that reduce vibrations and make leveling much easier. For some it might be a lot of money up front but the RT85 is worth the investment!
