I purchased this turntable recently as I am looking to get back in the vinyl hobby after many years. Set up was easy; the acrylic platter looks great against the walnut finish on the plinth. The build quality feels solid. What I am still waiting for is the "wow" factor from the sound. It could very well be my set up or something that I am missing. I have it connected to Denon AVR X7200WA which has a built in phono stage, and it is not bad based on my prior experience using it with a much cheaper turntable. But the combination of RT-85 with my AVR has left me "underwhelmed". Again, so many people giving good reviews to this turntable can't be wrong, so it most likely is some "user error" at my end. I will continue to tweak the settings and see how it goes. I am not yet ready to give up. Good luck to me!
