I am extremely happy with my RT83. It is a beautiful piece of equipment that works great and as hard as I have tried, I have not been able to detect any hum whatsoever. The RT 85 may be the better bang for the buck with the M Blue cartridge and the ceramic platter, but the RT 83 completely satisfies me.
