Product Review (submitted on August 15, 2020):
After doing some research and asking for help from friends, I went with the RT82, which was about $150 more than I originally intended to spend, however, I'm really happy I decided to spend the extra money. I was told to avoid the RT81 because it's too similar to AT and to pass on the RT83 because there's not enough difference to warrant the price. All in all, the RT82 is pretty great. Not only does it do everything I need, but it does it well and looks beautiful (I got the black one). The stylus is pretty great, but I might upgrade later. Yes this doesn't come from a preamp, but that's a good thing. If you want a great turntable for beginners who are interested in component setups, then this is for you. If you are a beginner and you want a turnable with preamp, then you can go for one of Fluance's cheaper options (or something like AT, etc.).
