I like the bi-directional design of these speakers. Our house was pre-wired for surround sound, but the speakers locations were not very far apart. This design lets one speaker plane aim toward the listeners and the other speaker plane project away from them, which seems to spread the sound out further into the room. Very pleased with our choice in purchasing these.
