Good value at this price point. I purchased the Fluance RT82 for the following reasons:
1. precision servo controlled belt drive motor
2. auto shut off when record ends
3. speed control knob ( no need to physically move the belt when
changing speeds) I really like this feature.
4. attractive, solid wooden plinth
5. detachable RCA cables to connect to a pre-amp
6. can be upgraded
7. sounds very good for a turntable and cartridge at this price point
