I was looking for a reasonably priced turntable with good sound quality. I wanted no preamp and the RT-82 was a great fit. This table is also upgradeable to a RT-83 to a RT-85. The sound quality is very good with the Ortofon OM-10, a good to go and dependable cartridge. One of the deciding factors for me was this is a Canadian based company. Thanks Fluance for a great product at a reachable price.
