Product Review (submitted on July 20, 2021):

READ BEFORE BUYINGI'm in the process of doing a YouTube video review of these speakers. I purchased them directly from fluance when I got them the cabinets were scratched up and the vinyl was separating in various spots. The grills looked like the fabric was put on with a crazy person with scissors and glue. During a 20 hour break in period never going above 100w on a marantz 8015 receiver one tweeter started sounding like static. Then when I looked the bottom of the tweet was coming undone. A little tug and it fell right out. Yes they use hot glue to hold the tweeter in place LOL! The real sad part is the tiny magnet on the tweeter. I've seen bigger magnets on a boombox tweeter. I called them and they sent a replacement on a cross ship as I wasn't paying for another speaker to be sent. When I got the new replacement upon hooking it up the midrange was DOA. It was apparent at this time I would never see a refund and I decided I would just go buy a set of Bowers & Wilkins for 200 more. After ordering the bowers I figured I needed to actually do a tear down on these as it seems no one else ever has and people need to know the cheap speakers they are buying. After removing one of the woofers I was greeted with a cheap aluminum basket once again but a decent sized magnet and decent spider but the aluminum basket is cheap. Like the tweeter they used hot glue to hold the ring in place and it popped right off. There were also 4 sheet rock screws holding the woofer in place and more hot glue. The cabinets are MDF with a simulated wood vinyl sticker over them. About the only thing that's actually made well on these speakers is the crossover. Onto the midrange which they claim is glass woven. Yes it looks nice but once it's out you are again greeted with an aluminum basket but like the woofer a decent sized magnet all in all the midrange is about the best driver and the reason it wasn't working is because I wasn't even hooked up after plugging the wires in it worked. All the drivers are made in China. I can't confirm if the final assembles speakers are assembled in China or not or assembled in Canada. Wherever its at they have the worst QC I've ever seen in a speaker. Now how do they sound? On movies they will dive deep as the cabinets design is actually quite good but the construction not so much. The midrange and tweeters offer up a nice smooth sound. As a home theater speaker they are great as long as you don't go for extended loud sounds like music in the movie. As for listening to 2 channel music? It's hit or miss depending on what you are playing. Anything with vocals sounds surprisingly good. Anything with lots of instrumentals, forget it. Spent a few hundred more and get a set of ELAC, JBL or Bowers. The set I bought I gave them, Yes, gave them to a friend. After 3 days both tweeters are not working.
