Product Review (submitted on November 23, 2022):

All the positive reviews are right - this is a great turntable for $300.

In addition to what others have said, here are a few things that I like that I didn't necessarily expect:

- The ground works! I've had a problem with hum with a number of other turntables and thought it was something I just had to live with because of the old wiring in my house, but the RT82 is almost dead quiet once grounded to my amplifier.

- It came with higher quality connection cables than is usual - no need to upgrade.

- The feet have very fine threads - this makes leveling very easy and precise.

- Auto-stop is great. It does take about 30 seconds to kick in but that's much better than the alternative if you wander off.

- The flip side of auto-stop is that it is also auto-start. The motor starts spinning once you move the tonearm to the left. This doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere but I like it.

Overall no regrets about getting this and I can't imagine a better turntable at the price. It's definitely superior to the slightly more expensive one that it's replacing as well as a number of others I've had in the past.
