I researched many turntables in this price range and based on professional and customer reviews purchased the RT 82. I am completely satisfied. Sound is beautiful and set up was easy and painless. I have been listening to vinyl for several years and this is the next level TT and first where I had to balance a tonearm. I highly recommend to newbies like me and anyone looking for a an upgrade that looks great, sounds even better, and is simple to set up.

This my first turntable and I couldn’t be happier. It’s beauty, solid performance and phenomenal sound quality (after upgrading stylus) make is really a budget steal. I would highly recommend!

Firstly, the turntable is beautiful. It sounds great and operates smoothly. I was nervous to setup the turntable initially, but it turned out to be much easier than I thought. Levelling the turntable wasn't the easiest, as one of the legs didn't turn very well. The leg issue might have had to do with the shipping.

The free ground shipping from UPS was absolutely terrible. The corners of the box were dented on all sides. All of the packing tape holding the flaps down the the body of the box had broken. Only the tape holding the flaps to each other was intact. I'm seriously surprised nothing fell out of the box. The packing tape needs to be much stronger and the shipper (UPS) needs to take more care with their packages. Why this box wasn't labelled fragile is beyond me.

I rated down one star because of my shipping experience. I wanted to rate it down further, but I'm pretty happy with the turntable.

This turntable sounds incredible. My vinyl sounds better than it did the day I bought it! I'm reliving growing up, one LP at a time.

This is a Great Turntable. I own a Rega Planar 3 with outboard power supply for 33/45 rpm and this thing does not miss a beat compared to it! The design is very Rega-like with the 3 shock absorbing feet and the very smooth action dust cover (smoother than Rega). I bought this for my daughter and she will not be disappointed.

I wanted to get into vinyl for years, but decided to finally take the plunge over this covid-19 period. My turntable options came down to the AT-LP60X, AT-LP120X, AT-LP3, the various U-Turn Orbits, DP-300F, and RT82. When thinking about the features, the choice became clear. The speed monitoring motor on the RT82 isn’t found on any other turntable listed in this review. The only other turntable in the list that either monitors speed for you, or allows you to easily monitor/correct the speed (without tinkering with screwdrivers), is the AT-LP120X, but that table doesn't have Auto-Stop like the RT82. Having a record spin for hours without Auto-Stop can damage the record and degrade the stylus, so this feature is crucial for a turntable. I can fall asleep to a record and not have to worry about the damage done when I wake up.

I haven't tried the RPM app yet for speed accuracy, but I haven't felt that it was needed. Other reviews here report a perfect reading of 33.3. The Auto-Stop has worked with every record I've tried so far. The bamboo finish is stunning to look at, and I prefer its' more "modern" look. The most important aspect: it sounds great.

If you're looking for a great beginner turntable, this is it. If you're looking for an upgrade to your turntable, this is it.

Growing up in the analog era, high fidelity to me was defined by a finely recorded and pressed vinyl LP played back with vacuum tube amplification through quality loudspeakers. I never got the same enjoyment from CDs and solid state amplifiers, and I drifted away from enjoying music. I decided it was time to remedy that situation and purchased the RT82. It is absolutely stunning! I have never enjoyed my record collection as much as I do now with this marvelous turntable. It exudes class and style with exceptional build quality. It was easy to assemble and set up, and when I played the first record I couldn't believe it. It's just so musical and pleasant to listen to. I have absolutely no complaints or nits to mention. It's everything I would have wanted in a turntable. What an amazing value!

After my 1970's Phillips turntable was getting tired, I decided to upgrade. I spend many hours researching turntables in this price range. I decided on the RT-82 for a number of reasons. First, it looks great. It is a classy mix between new and old school. Since I have mounted it on top of a 1960's console I have converted to hi-fi, this is important. Next the features and specs. I love the warm and rich sound of the Ortofon cartridge. Definitely an upgrade from the AT cartridge I had before. The auto-stop feature is nice. Using the RPM app, it spins true to 33.3. I'm very impressed with it not skipping when you walk by on my 100 year old floors. Fluance shipped it quickly and it was packaged well. I am very pleased with the RT-82 and hope to enjoy it for many years.

This turntable was a replacement for my old Technics SL-B2 whose speed control finally gave out. The performance of this table matches its physical beauty. The bass response of the RT82 was instantly noticeable and the overall sound was vibrant, clear, resonant...every positive adjective one can think of. I read many positive reviews before buying this table and could only hope my experience would be the same when it arrived. I'm exceedingly happy with it.

As for my first vinyl player I was very hesitant finding the perfect fit for our guys vinyl nights. After calculated research I jumped the gun on RT82 and I have not had any regrets! The sound is superb and far exceeded my expectations. Definitely would recommend Fluance to my friends and family who are looking for quality craftsmanship.

I've had this turntable for a couple weeks now and so far, I'm impressed. Not only was it easy to set up but it also sounds wonderful. My previous turntable was an entry level Audio Technica, so this was quite a drastic improvement. I immediately noticed more details in my records.

Any of the Fluance Reference series TT's are an excellent choice to make for somebody who is just getting into vinyl records, or the seasoned collector on a budget. I chose the RT82 myself and replaced the OM 10 cartridge with a Sumiko Moonstone cartridge. I could have been happy with the OM 10 as I did give it a test run, but already have a few carts that are better performers. If you don't have current cartridges to upgrade to I would suggest buying the RT84 on up to get the Ortofon blue. TT Setup out of the box is very easy(same as it was for my vintage 77' Pioneer PL112-D). The setup video on YouTube is perfect for anyone not familiar with the process. Assembly is a breeze and balancing the tonearm is simple as well. Set the tracking pressure with a digital stylus scale, set the anti- skate to the same tracking pressure and you'll be ready to go.
I chose to pre- order an acrylic platter since the RT85's were out of stock at time of purchase. I love that these TT'S are easily upgradable in phases if what you want is out of stock or you want to slowly upgrade to spread out costs over time. The high gloss walnut finish is a perfect match for my vintage system and is absolutely beautiful! It adds the advantages of a solid wood plinth, a big upgrade in sound quality and build quality without sacrificing the vintage look I love. Thanks for making such an excellent product, and you've gained this 40 yr old budget audiophile as a customer for the rest of my days :)

Just awesome! Tried a cheap plastic AT table that was beyond cheap but not priced that way.... Sent it back and bought the RT82 in Walnut. A real gem in every way! Works well with my old Pioneer receiver and sounds great.
