Great speakers 0 people found this helpfulGreat speakers, sounded real nice out of the box, even better after the recommended break in period. Well put together, nice weight to them. Ordered the white finish....pretty sharp looking. Running them as my B set through my Cambridge xr100, sound great. Highly recommend these.

Great Speakers 0 people found this helpfulThese replaced old Akai floor speakers and I'm quite pleased with their performance. As others have mentioned, strong base needs a subwoofer but for my tastes the two work fine.

best sound for the money 0 people found this helpfuli have over $30 k in audio equipment and among the finest speakers made (under the $10,000 price range) i needed a set of bookshelf speakers for a small room and based on a review of these bought a set. within an hour of setting them up and listening i ordered another set. i bought for the refurbished site and i think paid around $105 + tax. i challenge anyone to come up with better sounding speakers for the money. you could not build similar speakers for less than twice this much and i don't believe they would sound this good. of course with only a 5' bass driver it will not shake your room but it will provide clean clear midrange up into the higher 90 dB range with open and wide soundstage along with a nice clean upper frew response. coupled with a sub you can build a wonderful starter system or bedroom system. also it would be the perfect dorm speaker. very highly recommended

Great speakers for a reasonable price 0 people found this helpfulThe bass is pretty profound for drivers of this size. The speakers themselves are pretty big for this class, but that's probably why they sound so good and have the amazing low and mid end performance. Just make sure you give them a foot or 2 between the back and the wall to let the bass ports bounce. They don't come with feet, so you have to either DIY or put on top of some sound foam.
