  1. Decent for the money but don't have high expectations. 0 people found this helpful

First I'll just say these are $200 speakers with small drivers so you shouldn't have high audiophile expectations. They took about 3 days to break in and the sound did significantly improve. Highs can sound harsh with some recordings and there isn't much bass but again small drivers. You'll definitely want a subwoofer with these. There is also not much sound stage to speak of. Midrange is pretty good actually. I've been driving them with an older Denon DRA-635R. For the money they're a decent pair of speakers for casual listening if you're doing something else at the same time. - Verified Store

  3. Terrible for home theatre fronts 0 people found this helpful
    Overall Performance

I know these weren’t marketed as anything but surrounds, however any good bookshelves should be capable front channels with a center and surrounds and subwoofer in a small room with a 5.1 set up. These sounded terrible. Muddy, no separation or clarity even after calibrating. Did not blend with subwoofer well at all. I also tried klipsch 51m with their cheaper center and those were terribly fatiguing and sharp. I finally got the Elac 2.0 b6.2 and they are amazing! Dynamic and incredible! Highly recommend them if you have around 70watts per channel amp.

  4. What's the Hype? 0 people found this helpful
    Overall Performance

I've been in audio for several years and not sure what the hype is on these speakers? After hours of break-in, these gave fatigue After a short while. Couldn't wait to get off the stands.I have a sensitivity to strong upper midrange/lower treble which these seem to have. Also the extreme cabinet resonance didn't help.I've owned Elac, Jamo, Triangle, Monitor audio and even the Neumi Bs5.The BS5 even blew these out of the water at half the cost!I gave Fluance a second chance after a set of surround speakers I bought in the early 2000's which I hated. Thought they would improve things...guess not.Save your money! Buy the Neumi!
