I purchased an RT-85 and I think it is a very good looking piece of equipment. However, I have to agree with the other reviewers. The dust cover will scratch if you look at it to hard. I used the cotton glovers provided and keep it covered with a clean microfiber towel. When I do attempt to clean the cover using a microfiber towel, it scratches the crap out of the cover. If there is even one particle of dust, no matter how delicate you are in the cleaning, it will scratch. I have no problem with the weight or density of the material but it does scratch extremely easy and that is very distressing considering how good it looks out of the box and how much I paid for the turntable. When I purchase a new phone or tablet I find that there are several options to avoid scratching the screen. It seems like a good idea to cover the top of the dust cover with some type material to avoid scratching.
