I wanted to upgrade from my AT LP60 and did a lot of research on turntables that could give me the most bang for my $300 or less. I'm very satisfied with my Fluance RT82 purchase. There are so many big and little features that I wished my AT LP60 had that the RT82 has--good tracking.anti-skating control, a rubber slipmat (so many fewer dust problems!), the optical speed sensor (goodbye audibly fast playbacks!), and the bubble level and adjustable feet (an amazing surprise and perfect for my not-level table!) The auto-stop is also a nice extra. Not sure if my impression that my sound quality has gone up is because of the turntable, the phono preamp, or the placebo effect, but I love the sound as well. Very satisfied.
I leave this more as an instructional for pairing the RT82 paired with the Nagaoka 110 or other similar carts. I actually ordered the Nagaoka before the RT82, such were its reviews. Then the crap tracking started. I didn't give the OM10 a chance to show its meddle. In any case, after frustrating weeks of aligning the cart every which way I read where one reviewer added a second mat, thus raising slightly the tone arm. Problem not just solved, music now sounds even more crisp and faultless. Not sure this problem happens across the board. If you got tracking issues and nothing works, raise the tone arm angle. Hope it works.
Clean and true! I immediately upgraded to an Ortofon 2M Blue and couldn't be happier. It's a simple but we'll built turntable that delivers outstanding performance!
This turntable sounds way better than its price! I am thrilled to have it is part of my set up and it is definitely helped my listening experience.
This is my first turntable purchase. I put a lot of research into which turntable I would like to buy, and I happily ended up with an RT82. I did appreciate the improvements Fluance made over their first 2 turntables in an attempt to cater to more discerning listeners. I've been listening to my current collection of vinyl on this as I get ready for work each morning and it warms me up pretty quickly. Not to mention, it looks great with the rest of my AV equipment as well.
I wanted to wait until I had listened to the RT82 until some time had passed, but it sounds absolutely wonderful!
Great starter turntable! Well built, great performance and easy setup.
Amazing product. My stylus broke and they replaced it immediately. Great Customer Support assistance by Julie!
Great turntable - design, performance, and value.
Outstanding piece of audio equipment ! Along with great care in packaging the unit, set up was easy with clear instructions. I love the silent operation, and great sound performance that I was looking for in a new turntable.
Very good strong product, I’m so happy with the purchase
Just received the rt82 and extremely pleased. Set up was a breeze. The sound as compared to my old Panasonic PL590 is 100% better. I listen mainly to classical music and the nuances my Fluamce brings out is astounding. Thank you Fluance for a great product. By the way shipping time was great.
Really great performance, Rock solid speed control, Good vibration isolation, and easy to level. Looks great, too.
I'm very happy with the RT82. As I read in another review, it is a great first turntable. It really is at a nice sweet spot between quality and affordability. Customer support was pleasant and helpful too.
I had a problem with antiquate due to using a NAG-MP110, Customer Service was able to diagnose that he cue lever pad was set to high, a simple adjustment to set the cue arm pad lower and now my anti skate works as it should. My NAG MP-110 sounds fantastic.See all reviews
